Moscow Pride : a second stonewall took place

In a quick phone interview Alekseev confirmed his arrest. He is now in Tverskoya police station together with Nikolai Khramov fom the Russian Radicals.

 

Alexey Davidov, a co-organizer of the Pride from LGBT Rights.Ru was also arrested together with Noar, an activist of the same organization.

 

Volker Beck, German MP, whip of the Green Party at the Bundestag was also arrested and put in a bus in front of the city hal by the police. Despite he had a protection. Beck had problems to receive his visa to fly to Moscow this week-end.

 

"Mitrofanov -the Russian MP- tried to take us to prevent us to be arrested but did not success with the crowd" said Alekseev in a phone interview.

 

"Vladimir Luxuria is safe. She is with Mitrofanov. We are in contacts by phone. She received an egg"

 

"We believe we will be released fast"

 

"Not so many protesters showed up this year. It's really different."

 

"This event was very symobolical. We will continue our fight for our rights no matters if it does not please Mr Luzhkov".

 

"It's time for the European Parliament to ask its member states to ban Luzhkov and his non democratic team to visit europe for hollidays"

 

"A possible letter co-signed by EU politicians was already discussed" concluded Alekseev before police forced him to end the call.
